Mercator’s Bargain

The millimeter criteria are the same kind of object. They were an excellent answer to the question of who gets a thrombolytic in 1986 and a poor answer to the question of whose artery is closed right now. We inherited the projection and we keep teaching it as the territory, and 1 in 3 of the patients we file under not-occluded is sitting on the wrong part of the map.
