Renal congestion syndrome in critically ill patients : a neglected mechanism of acute kidney injury - A narrative review

This review focuses on ICU-specific, potentially reversible drivers of renal congestion, emphasizing, despite current evidence limitations, practical bedside assessment and prevention of iatrogenic congestion. Although the true incidence of renal congestion cannot be determined due to the absence of a validated definition, its contributing mechanisms are common in critically ill patients.
